Jordanian producer Omar Massad was born in Zarqa, Jordan in 1984. After studying International Communication at the Hashemite University in Jordan, he worked on numerous media productions for corporate and broadcast clients. He established with his brother abd Director Mahmoud Al Massad Jo Image production company in Amman, and produced over 12 short films with Jordanian indie filmmakers. He realized his passion and talent for film while producing his film “Recycle”, a feature length documentary that was shown at many international film festivals and won the World Cinema Cinematography Award at Sundance Film Festival in 2008 and received 7 Cinema in Motion awards at San Sebastian Film Festival. His latest documentary, “This is my picture when I was dead” received the Best Documentary Award at Dubai International Film Festival, the Audience Award Tubingen Film Festival, and was officially selected at Hot Docs Toronto and IDFA International Competition.
